Our DW paddlers were in Wiltshire at the weekend, training on the Kennet and Avon Canal where they will be racing in the upcoming waterside races and in the DW event itself.
Crews paddled well along the stretch from Devizes Wharf to Pewsey through unfamiliar territory and drizzle, arriving at the end point suitable tired! They were back on the water on Sunday, portaging the many locks between Great Bedwyn and Newbury, in some splendid weather. Fatigue and illness were creeping in, however they all completed the course in reasonable spirits.
