The Year 7 LOTC residential to Tintagel was filled with adventure, enthusiasm and inspiration.

Pupils arrived at Tintagel castle on Thursday where they set up base for the day. They explored history with washing line chronology, pegging dates that tracked the history of the castle from Romans to the modern day. Mr Lawrence coordinated a bridge building challenge in the castle courtyard using the castle cantilever bridge as inspiration, whilst another group joined Miss Horsfield for a walk around the castle ruins to explore descriptive language therein.

The coasteering challenge on Friday proved to be a firm favourite with many pupils, bolstering courage in the ranks, and pupils also enjoyed an Anglo-Saxon weaving activity back at the Menadue camp.

A stop off on the journey home at the Retallack Aqua Park for some sliding, splashing and thrill-seeking fun rounded off an excellent trip.
