Year 12 pupils undertaking the Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and Development attended workshops at Plymouth Marjon University.
The day included a tour of the gold-rated BASES Sports Science labs followed by two workshops run by university lecturers on Sports Psychology and Exercise Physiology.
Pupils experienced a range of fitness testing and were given an introduction to how the university courses are delivered and assessed. In the afternoon they toured of the campus before attending an insightful budgeting talk by one of the current first year students, who gave some great advice about where pupils can access support if they need it.
