Sixth Form Entry

Joining the Sixth Form

Our Sixth Form is where pupils develop the independence, expertise, and confidence to take the next step, whether that’s the usual route of university, or if their interest lies in professional training, or a different path entirely. We assume that all current Mount Kelly pupils will move directly into the Sixth Form at the end of their Year 11 studies and warmly welcome applications from those wishing to join us from other schools.

Visiting Us

You are delighted to invite you to attend our Discovery Day (Open Day) in the Michaelmas Term, where you can explore our facilities, meet staff and pupils, and learn more about the opportunities ahead.

If you can’t make the Discovery Day, or would prefer an individual visit, our Admissions Office will be happy to arrange an alternative date. Every visit includes a personal tour of the school, a meeting with the Head Master and a meeting with the Deputy Head (Academic) to discuss your A Level choices, and how we can support your ambitions.

SIXTH FORM Entry Requirements

Offers are made based on predicted GCSE grades. Applicants typically require:

  • At least five passes at Grade 5 or above
  • Grade 6 or above in any subject to be studied at A Level
  • Grade 7 or above in Mathematics or Sciences if these are chosen for A Level

We also consider the wider picture, including your interests, strengths, and potential, alongside academic achievement.

Scholarships and Awards

We offer a range of Sixth Form Scholarships to recognise talent and potential. You can find details and register your interest on our Scholarships and Awards page.
