Lower Prep

At Mount Kelly Lower Prep, we understand that every child is unique. Our small class sizes and high staffing ratios allow us to give each pupil exceptional individual attention, helping them not only reach their true potential but exceed it. Learning here is an adventure – stimulating, rewarding, and rooted in exploration, investigation, and discovery. Our well-qualified, passionate staff deliver a varied curriculum, enriched by specialist teaching in French, Design Technology, Physical Education, and Music. Year 3 pupils are the oldest children in our Lower Prep, so they enjoy some leadership opportunities in The Ark.

Lower Prep is alive with activity beyond the classroom. Charity and social events bring pupils and parents together, while an exciting range of co-curricular clubs, from chess, ICT, and gardening to tag rugby and sewing, nurture new skills and passions. Our beautiful grounds are a constant source of inspiration for Learning Outside the Classroom, and from Reception to Year 3, every child enjoys swimming lessons in one of our indoor swimming pools.
