What Universities Need to Know About Mount Kelly
Mount Kelly is a vibrant, independent co-educational day and boarding school nestled in the heart of Devon. Our Year 13 cohort reflects a broad spectrum of academic abilities and social backgrounds — from high-achieving pupils aiming for top universities to those with special educational needs, including extra exam support, alongside a valuable international community.
Our Sixth Form curriculum typically involves pupils taking three full A Levels over two years. Reflecting national reforms, AS exams are generally not taken, except for the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ), which many Year 12 pupils pursue. A few may opt to take an AS in Mathematics over two years.
A Levels on Offer:
Art & Design | Biology | Chemistry | Design Technology | Economics | English Language | English Literature | French | Geography | Government and Politics | History | Mathematics | Further Mathematics | Music | Physical Education | Physics | Psychology | Religious Studies | Spanish
Forecast grades for university applications are carefully calculated based on Year 12 summer exams and ongoing assessments. These predictions are reviewed early in Year 13 to reflect current performance.
Beyond A Levels, we also offer the BTEC Extended Diploma in Sports Performance and Excellence perfect for pupils aiming for careers in sport or related fields, as well as BTEC Level 3 Foundation Diploma in Performing Arts Practice, BTEC Level 3 Extended Diploma in Sports Coaching and the BTEC Level 3 Extended Certificate in Applied Science
