About Our Parents’ Association

The Mount Kelly Parents’ Association (MKPA) organises and supports a variety of events during the school year to raise funds for specific fundraising initiatives at Mount Kelly and the charities it supports. The MKPA is not governed by a traditionally structured committee, and represents more an informal group of parents who volunteer to lead or help with events of their choice. For more information, please contact us at mkpa@mountkelly.com

Join us at a 15th century farmhouse for an afternoon of festive creativity at our first MKPA Christmas Wreath-Making workshop. Local award-winning artisan florist Linda Walker from A Scent-Sation will guide you on how to create (or for the more advanced how to perfect) a natural wreath using fragrant winter foliage, mixed eucalyptus, holly, berries, pine cones and orange slices.  Please feel free to bring seasonal foliage from your own gardens for a more personal touch.  All materials are included and you will be able to take your creation home to enjoy throughout the festive season or to give as a gift. There will be a selection of white and deep red cut amaryllis stems available to purchase at the event for your Christmas table.

Tea and coffee, and a spread of festive nibbles sponsored by the Cornish farm shop Tre, Pol & Pen, are included in the workshop price.

Optional items to bring

  • Secateurs
  • Gardening gloves
  • Seasonal foliage from your own garden
  • Cash for the purchase of white and deep red cut amaryllis stems
The Barn at Lower Hampt is situated between the villages of Luckett and Horsebridge, approximately 20 minutes from the Prep.
