Climate Conference

Year 12 Geographers attended a climate conference at the University of Plymouth on Tuesday. Speakers covered a range of topics including the carbon cycle and the science of climate change, the impact of retreating glaciers on water security and the significant impact of flying on climate change. The highlight of the day was meeting Professor Iain Stewart, a climate celebrity, who delivered an excellent talk on how climate science is being manipulated by politicians and the media.

Pupils came away with a renewed sense of urgency and a commitment to reduce their carbon footprint.
