Mount Kelly's Astronomy Club

Members of Mount Kelly's Astronomy Club used their new telescope to take this stunning image of the Moon on Monday, twelve days into the lunar cycle, in the waxing gibbous phase. Pupils took turns in pointing the telescope at the moon to take images, and became quite skillful at the procedure.

Craters are most noticeable at the terminator (the boundary between the illuminated and dark hemispheres) in both the bottom and top left of the image.
