The Reading Mentor Scheme has been running at Mount Kelly for the last three years, and this year’s training session has seen the largest attendance yet with over 20 pupils choosing to volunteer. Mentors are chosen because they care about others and want to help younger children read with enjoyment and confidence.
Pupils at the Prep from Reception up to Year 3 will now have the opportunity to share stories and develop their confidence in reading with older pupils from Year 6 to Year 11.
It is wonderful to see our Reading Mentors demonstrating a clear passion for putting the Mount Kelly values into practice.
