A 30-strong team of swimmers headed to Sandwell Aquatics Centre, the venue of the Birmingham 2022 Commonwealth Games, for the annual English Schools Swimming Association national finals.

A fun day of fast relay racing was on the cards for the swimmers against strong opposition across each age group.

Mount Kelly finished the day with two national records, three gold medals and four silver.

Gold Medals:

  • Senior Girls Freestyle – Hollie, Beth, Flawia and Erin (National Record)
  • Senior Girls Medley – Blythe, Gabi, Flawia and Erin (National Record)
  • Senior Boys Medley – Mantas, Josh, Abdul and Joe

Silver Medals:

  • Senior Boys Free – Joe, Carwyn, Alex and Abdul
  • Intermediate Girls Free – Ava, Poppy, Eva and Sierrah
  • Intermediate Girls Medley – Sierrah, Ava, Edie and Poppy
  • Intermediate Boys Medley- Harvey, Will, Ryan and Ed

4th Place:

  • Intermediate Boys Free- Harvey, Ryan, Freddie and Ed
  • Junior Boys Medley- Billy, Joey, William and Jerome

7th Place:

  • Junior Boys Free – William, Jerome, Billy and Joey
