British Championships & European Racing

It was an incredibly busy Easter period for Mount Kelly Swimming.

Twenty-seven swimmers competed at the 2024 British Swimming Championships Olympic Trials event, representing the biggest domestic fixture in the calendar. Our swimmers achieved success with seven open Mount Kelly records, and 16 swimmers reached a total of 30 finals. With this meet acting as European Junior qualification, six swimmers reached under the European Junior consideration time: Hollie, Blythe, Joe, Josh, Edie and Sophie.

Meanwhile, across Europe Flawia and Balint achieved their European Junior Consideration times for Poland and Switzerland. Brydan, Orla and Breanna raced at the Irish equivalent – the McCullagh International. Brydan also achieved European Junior consideration time in the 200 back.

We now wait to hear from the relevant governing bodies on who will be selected and racing in Lithuania at the European Juniors in July.

Congratulations also go to Sierrah who secured 10 medals (six gold and four silver) at the Caribbean Championships and was awarded Top 15-17 year old girl of the championships.
