Inaugural Literary Dinner

dinner

To mark the completion of stage one of our Library Regeneration project, the inaugural literary dinner took place on Friday evening, with pupils presenting on a selection of classic and seminal texts from the Year 1925.

The Headmaster and Mrs Ayling, alongside our Reading Governor, Wendy Davies, were delighted to take part in a short reading of J.M.Barrie’s Mary Rose, a fittingly ambient play, published in 1925; a copy of which, poignantly inscribed ‘Dear Mother,’ was unearthed during the recent shelf sorting.

Many thanks to the catering team who prepared a delicious meal to accompany our literary delights, and finally, to Mrs Holwill for her excellent literary themed cakes.
