The start of Lent term is ‘mocks’ season, with Year 13 pupils sitting papers in their A Level courses this week, and Year 11 pupils tested in their subjects at the end of January. Ultimately, a pupil is responsible for his or her preparation for the mocks and the summer exams, however, our teachers provide drop-in clinics and more formal revision classes each week to help plug the gaps and to ensure that pupils can do themselves justice. The Personalised Learning team are especially busy assisting the pupils who are entitled to access arrangements for particular learning needs. Parents’ Consultations follow a little later in the term, offering a chance to review the results and look ahead to the summer.
