Mount Kelly welcomed acclaimed author, illustrator and creator Curtis Jobling to the Prep for a special day of storytelling, drawing and creative workshops.
Pupils from across the School, from Lower Prep to older pupils in the College, took part in a series of engaging, interactive sessions designed to spark their imaginations and encourage a love of reading and storytelling.
Throughout the day, Curtis shared insights into his work, leading lively doodle-drawing sessions, reading excerpts from his books and giving pupils a fascinating glimpse into the world of writing and illustration. Pupils also had the opportunity to ask questions and learn more about the creative process behind his stories and characters.
The day concluded with a book signing, where pupils could meet Curtis and take home a signed copy of his work. Reflecting on his visit, Curtis praised the pupils’ enthusiasm and curiosity, describing them as wonderful and their questions as insightful. He also shared how much he had enjoyed spending time with everyone.
The visit provided a wonderful opportunity for pupils of all ages to meet a professional author and creator, bringing books and storytelling to life beyond the classroom.
A huge thank you to Curtis Jobling for sharing his time, creativity and enthusiasm with the Mount Kelly community and making the day such a memorable experience.
