Mount Kelly is an independent school located in Tavistock, Devon, UK. We are a co-educational school for children aged between 4 and 18 offering day, weekly, flexi and full boarding.

Mount Kelly has an internationally recognised Performance Swimming programme, managed by Emma Collings-Barnes. There are three pools on our campus including a 50m, 8 lane Olympic Legacy swimming pool.

Our established Girls’ Performance Football Programme is run in association with Chelsea FC.

The Mount Kelly triathletes ended their summer season on a high at the Falmouth triathlon!
Competing in his first open-water triathlon, Jakob F produced a brilliant race to finish 2nd in the 11–12 division. 👏
Tom A and Ruben ME both led their divisions from the gun, building sizeable advantages through the swim and bike before holding strong on the run. Tom took 1st in the 13–14 division, while Ruben claimed 1st in the 15–16 division. 🥇🥇
The result also saw Ruben crowned overall Cornish Triathlon Series champion, following victories in Falmouth and Bodmin and a podium finish in Tavistock. 🏆
Huge congratulations to everyone involved on an amazing series of racing across the South West! 💪

After pre-season warm-ups, the Mount Kelly Boys’ U18 football team took on Tavistock Tinners U18 in a competitive and enjoyable friendly.
It was a great opportunity for the squad to gain valuable match experience as they prepare for their ISFA Cup fixture against Warminster in October.

This October half term, young people aged 11–16 are invited to join us for eight extraordinary days of adventure, discovery and real-life environmental research.
Track wildlife. Deploy camera traps. Detect bats. Survey seals. Explore Dartmoor. Discover marine science. Search for wild beavers at dusk.
From 17–24 October 2026, our Nature Immersion programme takes learning beyond the classroom and into the wild, giving young people the chance to experience conservation and field science first-hand.🌱
Alongside the adventure, participants will also have the opportunity to achieve recognised AQA Unit Awards.

What a start to the term for Year 5! 🎉
Their Learning Outside The Classroom (LOTC) adventure took them to Plymouth, where they explored colourful abstract art at The Box, and discovered incredible marine life at the National Marine Aquarium.🎨🦈
The adventure continued at Parkwood, with dorm life and cooking on Trangia stoves, before heading to Bigbury-on-Sea for a brilliant morning of surfing! 🏄

Congratulations to Luke I 🇨🇩, India B 🇳🇬 and Lola A 🇳🇬, who proudly represented their countries at the West African Swimming Championships in Dakar, Senegal, over the summer.🏊
India enjoyed an outstanding Championships, claiming four individual gold medals and three relay medals with Team Nigeria. She was also named Female Swimmer of the Meet, a fantastic achievement!🏆
